Kick-Off Race (Flat Out Friday): February 20, 2026 (Friday Night)

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Main Venue: The Rave / Eagles Club (2401 W Wisconsin Ave)

1. The Main Show: Mama Tried

Held at the historic Eagles Ballroom, this is an indoor invitational that showcases honest, home-built, and racing motorcycles.

The Vibe: Unlike shiny commercial trade shows, Mama Tried focuses on the "blue-collar" and custom culture aspects of riding. Expect choppers, flat trackers, hill climbers, and vintage race bikes.

Hours:

Saturday, Feb 21: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Sunday, Feb 22: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Tickets: General Admission tickets are currently on sale. Prices typically range from $20–$25 for single-day entry.

Activities:

The Bike Display: Over 100 hand-picked custom motorcycles.

Vendor Area: 70+ vendors selling apparel, parts, and art.

Giveaway: They typically raffle off a custom motorcycle on Sunday afternoon.

2. The Racing: Flat Out Friday

While the show is at the Eagles Club, the weekend actually kicks off on Friday night with indoor flat track racing on a soda-syrup-covered concrete floor.

Date: Friday, February 20, 2026

Venue: Fiserv Forum (The major arena where the Milwaukee Bucks play).

The Racing: This is high-energy and often chaotic. Classes include:

Hooligan: Street bikes (mostly Harley Sportsters) with minimal modifications sliding around the track.

Goofball: Costumed riders and unusual machines.

Pro/Amateur: Serious flat track racers.

Tickets: Sold separately from the main show tickets. Because this is held at a major arena, tickets are reserved seating and prices vary by section.

3. The "Slippery Sunday" Ice Ride

If the weather cooperates (i.e., if it is freezing enough), Sunday morning typically features an informal gathering on the ice.

Location: McKinley Marina (Lake Michigan waterfront).

Activity: Riders take their bikes out onto the frozen lake. Even if you don't ride, it is a spectacle to watch.

Note: This is weather-dependent and not an "official" ticketed part of the show, but it is a core part of the weekend tradition.

4. Logistics & Accommodations

Hotels: The Ambassador Hotel is directly across the street from the Eagles Club and is the prime spot to stay, but it likely sold out months ago. Look for hotels downtown near the Fiserv Forum (Saint Kate, The Pfister, or Hilton Milwaukee City Center) as a good alternative; it's a short Uber/Lyft ride to the show venue.

Parking: The Rave has a parking lot, but it fills up immediately. Street parking is available but can be scarce in snow. Rideshare is highly recommended.
